The Met Unframed lets you explore the Met Museum virtually, learn more about your favorite artwork, and unlock one-of-a-kind AR versions of those pieces by completing challenges based on your newfound knowledge. If you’re successful, you can take the unique AR piece home and share it with your social following for bragging rights.
As a part of this AR experience, we created a logo to live with in the app and collateral. We wanted the logo to leverage the artwork by bringing these iconic pieces to life in people’s hands and to become “Unframed”. Our logo takes this idea and marries The Met branding along with Verizon technology partnership. We also use the Augmented Reality camera trigger as a design element/identifier that hints to the experience users will have.
