Music Festivals
As a way for Verizon to give back to customs, the Verizon Up loyalty program gives customs access to music festivals and perks at these music festivals. During the 2021 festival session, Verizon Up had large-scale activations at 3 larger festivals, Bottle Rock, Gov Ball, and Sea.Hear.Now. At each one of these festivals Verizon had an activation, viewing area and a personalized 5G audio experience. We designed fun and engaging concepts for these spaces which connected to each of the music festivals in a unique way. This helps provide Verizon Up members/music fans with access like no one else.
Festival Express Shop
To help create these unique experiences we designed the Express Shop activation at each festival as a part of our Verizon footprint. Using the branding template that we created we rebranded the Express Shop at each festival. The Express Shop itself is a contactless autonomous shopping experience powered by AI. Verizon Business partnered with AiFi to create this experience for anyone attending the festival but giving fast line access to Verizon Up members to purchase an assortment of snacks, beverages, and festival merchandise. The shop runs on AiFi's portable computer vision enabled NanoStore, which will run on Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network.
Customers enter the shop by scanning the Express Shop app. Once the customer has entered, the computer vision-technology follows the customer around the store and observes and tracks the items chosen. Once the customer is done shopping, they can leave the shop and will receive a receipt to their app or email within minutes. AiFi's computer vision-technology achieved an accuracy rate of 99% without facial recognition.
Viewing Deck
Verizon Up members got special access to an exclusive viewing area that raised you up above the crowd, provided you with phone charging, and had a private bar area for drinks.
5G Audio Experience
Another perk available to Verizon Up members was the Mixhalo audio experience. Using 5G technology, Mixhalo gave the viewer a pristine audio experience captured at the main sound source. The wireless system transmitted HD audio at scale in real time with no lag and no perceivable latency. The audio was delivered directly to your phone or headphones, no extra equipment needed creating a truly unique experience.
Attire and Festival Branded Assets
At each festival we created attire for the brand ambassadors that allows Verizon Up members to easily identify them but still gives the ambassadors comfort. We also gave each festival creative direction as to how the Verizon logo should show up throughout the festival.
Bottle Rock
Our activation at BottleRock pulled from the vineyard feel. We used raw woods, oak barrels and grapevines on our trellis at our activation and at our viewing deck.
Gov Ball
Since this festival is located in NYC, we created a city park where people could sit, swing, play chess, go to the food cart or graffiti the famous spinning cube sculpture in Astor Place.
Sea.Hear.Now
Leveraging the festival graphics to elevate our activation and viewing deck, we also used a sunset and beach tone gradient to bring a fun pop of color.
