Verizon Innovative Learning (VIL) developed a robust digital inclusion program that provides free technology, internet access, STEM curriculum, and hands-on learning experiences to under-resourced students giving them the access they need to thrive in the digital world.

Our goal was to transform underutilized Middle School spaces into tech-infused learning labs that inspire both the student and teacher.

We created a flexible, scalable design system infused with the latest emerging technologies that can be applied to Middle Schools across the country.

We used environmental design to make the space feel welcoming to students who may be intimidated by the subject matter or who may be unfamiliar with technology.

Bold colors, texture, high-impact graphic treatments, and custom furniture design were used to create the best atmosphere to inspire learning, discovery, ideas, and collaboration. Students can immerse themselves in subjects including, but not limited to AR/VR media, 3D printing design, coding, low-latency robotics, and AI.

Our Cleveland E-Prep School represents this country's first of its kind classroom powered by Verizon 5G technology where our students and teachers can be at the forefront of this transformative technology.

To date, we’ve opened 40 labs across the country and will be opening more over the years.
