This is Shawn presented by Verizon was an exclusive experience made to create brand envy and to give back to the customer. In partnership with Shawn Mendes, Verizon created a two day pop-up experience that took the visitor through Shawn’s creative process: from the creation of a song to its live performance. When fans see Shawn perform on stage, what they’re seeing is the end result of a musical journey. Verizon gave them access to Shawn like never before and let them take the journey themselves.
Visitors stepped into Shawn’s shoes, through the process of bringing his hits to life: from inspiration, to recording, to live performance. And they saw how Verizon helps connect Shawn to his music and his fans along the way.
Registration
Fan: Gets to experience what it’s like to be Shawn, and receive content throughout the experience via their mobile device.
Verizon: Verizon Up customers get first access to the experience via the Verizon Up Lane.
Inspiration
Fan: Gets a first-hand glimpse into how Shawn gets inspired to write his album.
Verizon: Demonstrates how Shawn wrote his album on his phone.
Recording
Fan: Gets to record a track just like Shawn does, by using the phone to read lyrics.
Verizon: Demonstrates how the music industry uses the network and connectivity to create music today.
Stage
Fan: Gets to feel what it’s like to step on stage and see what Shawn sees during a live performance.
Verizon: Demonstrates how the network connects Shawn to his fans and how fans connect to Shawn through the network.
